Terms of Sale
Buying a Nuur, plainly put.
The terms that apply when you order a Nuur prayer clock from nuur.sg: the pre-order, delivery, returns, the warranty and the online service.
Version 1 · 27 October 2026
Draft, not yet in force. These terms are being reviewed by a Singapore lawyer and will be final before pre-orders open. Nothing can be ordered yet.
In short
- Price: as stated in your order confirmation, delivery in Singapore included. Up to 5 clocks per order.
- Pre-order: you pay in full when you order, and the order is binding. If your clock isn't delivered by 30 April 2027, you can cancel for a full refund, whatever the reason.
- Change of mind: 14 days from delivery to send it back, complete and undamaged, for a full refund. We arrange the pickup.
- Faults: a 1-year warranty from delivery, on top of your rights under Singapore law.
- No subscription: prayer times, settings and updates are included in the price.
1 · Who sells
Who you're buying from
- Nuur clocks are sold by [registered business name], UEN [UEN], a business registered in Singapore, trading as “Nuur”. In these terms “Nuur”, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person placing the order.
- You can reach us at salam@nuur.sg. Please put your order number (it looks like NUUR-7K3Q9P) in the subject line.
- How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
2 · Ordering and price
Ordering, price and payment
- You must be 18 or older to order, and you order for your own use or as a gift, not for resale.
- The price you pay is as stated in your order confirmation: the price per clock shown on the order page when you ordered, including delivery to a Singapore address. The price at checkout is the full amount you pay: there are no other fees.
- You can order up to 5 clocks in one order. We deliver only to addresses in Singapore.
- You pay the full price when you order, by PayNow or card, through our payment provider HitPay. Your card details go to HitPay, not to us.
- Your order is accepted, and the contract between us is made, when your payment succeeds and we email you an order confirmation. If payment doesn't complete within 30 minutes of starting checkout, the order lapses and nothing is charged.
- Each clock comes with its table stand, a USB-C power adapter, a USB-C cable and a quick-start card.
- If we have made an obvious error in the price or description, or the batch has sold out by the time your payment arrives, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
3 · The pre-order
Paying now for a clock made for you
The first batch of Nuur is made after pre-orders close, for the people who ordered. That is why the pre-order works the way it does.
- The order is binding. Once it is confirmed, you can't cancel it for a refund before the date in 3.4, except as set out in these terms or where the law gives you the right to. If your circumstances change, write to us: we may agree to cancel, but we don't have to.
- Estimated delivery. The order page and your confirmation email give the estimated delivery window. It is an estimate, not a promise.
- If it moves. If we expect to deliver outside that window, we'll email you the new estimated date as soon as we know it.
- Our latest delivery date: 30 April 2027. If your clock hasn't been delivered by 30 April 2027, you can cancel your order by email for a full refund, whatever the reason for the delay. You can also choose to keep waiting and still cancel for a full refund at any time until it is delivered.
- 3.4 doesn't apply to a delay you cause, for example a wrong address or repeatedly missed delivery attempts. If we can't make your clock at all, we'll refund you in full without waiting for 30 April 2027.
4 · Delivery
Getting it to your door
- We deliver by courier, or bring the clock to you ourselves. We email you when it is on its way, with a tracking link where there is one.
- Someone needs to be at the address to receive it. If a delivery is missed, the courier will try again or arrange a collection point; ask us if you need help.
- The clock is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered. If it arrives damaged, please email us within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the clock and the box, and we'll replace it.
5 · Change of mind
Fourteen days to decide
- If you change your mind, email us within 14 days of delivery. You're welcome to set the clock up and try it first.
- Pack the clock with everything it came with, undamaged, in its box. We book and pay for the pickup.
- Once we receive it and check that it is complete and undamaged, we refund the full price. If something is missing or damaged, we may take the cost of putting it right off the refund, and we'll tell you how much and why.
6 · Faults and warranty
If something goes wrong
Your rights under the law
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Singapore law, including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the Sale of Goods Act.
- Under those laws, a defect that shows within 6 months of delivery is taken to have been there on delivery, unless we can show otherwise. You can ask us to repair or replace the clock. If we can't do either within a reasonable time, you can ask for a partial refund, or return it for a refund.
Our 1-year warranty
- On top of those rights, we warrant your clock against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from delivery, in normal indoor home use. Your delivery email states the date it ends.
- If a fault is covered, we repair or replace the clock, or the part that failed. If we can do neither, we refund the price. We collect the clock from you and send it back at our cost.
- To claim, email salam@nuur.sg with your order number and a description or video of the fault. We may first ask you to restart the clock, or send it a fix over WiFi.
-
The warranty doesn't cover:
- damage from a drop, a knock, liquid, heat or direct sunlight, or from use outdoors or in a damp room;
- damage caused by a power adapter or cable that didn't come with Nuur;
- a clock that has been opened, modified or repaired by anyone other than us;
- natural variation in the wood, such as differences in grain and tone between clocks, and the gentle change in colour that wood takes on over time;
- normal wear of the wood finish.
7 · Refunds
How refunds reach you
- Refunds go back to the card or PayNow account you paid with, through HitPay. We send them within 10 working days of agreeing the refund, or of receiving a returned clock, and we email you when it is sent.
- A full refund is the whole amount you paid. We keep nothing back for payment fees.
8 · The online service
What comes over WiFi
- Your clock connects to our online service over your home WiFi for MUIS prayer times, calendar updates, settings changes and software updates. It is included in the price, with no subscription.
- The clock stores the coming 30 days of prayer times and keeps time on its own, so it keeps showing the times and calling the adhan through a WiFi or service outage.
- Streamed Al-Quran recitations come directly from third-party services. They decide what they offer, so a reciter or recitation may change or stop being available.
- We keep improving Nuur through software updates. If we ever plan a change that removes a feature you have, we'll tell you before it happens.
9 · Liability
What we're responsible for
- We're responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses.
- Apart from 9.3, our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- We're not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as a disaster, an epidemic, or a shipping or supply disruption. This never removes your right to a refund under 3.4.
10 · Changes and disputes
Changes, the law and putting things right
- Your order is governed by the version of these terms you accepted when you placed it. Your confirmation email says which version that was and links to it, and every version stays available at nuur.sg/terms/ followed by its version number.
- We may update these terms for future orders. A change doesn't affect an order that is already confirmed, unless the law requires it or you agree.
- These terms are governed by the law of Singapore.
- If something isn't right, please write to us first at salam@nuur.sg, and we'll do our best to put it right. If we can't agree, you can ask the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) to help, or bring a claim at the Small Claims Tribunals.
